Prayer and Remembrance
Music and readings Marking the 100th anniversary of the anniversary of the Salonika Campaign and the end of the First World War, this programme of beautiful and reflective a cappella music, performed by Winchester Consort and directed by David Hurley, will cover themes of both prayer and remembrance in music by Elgar, Croft, Purcell, Tavener, Vaughan-Williams and John Williams among others.

Music and readings to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of WW1. David Hurley will conduct a programme of remembrance music, accompanied by Jane Palmer (organ) and Martin Ings (trumpet). The programme will include Parry – Songs of Farewell; Blatchly – To the Fallen; Vaughan-Williams – Lord, Thou hast been Our Refuge; Greene – Lord, Let Me know Mine End; Williams – Hymn to the Fallen; Elgar (arr Cameron) – Lux Aeterna; Holst – Nunc Dimittis; Mendelssohn – Beati Mortui and music by Croft, Purcell, Blitheman, Gibbons and Holst.
